Description For Senior Electronics Test Engineer I

At CesiumAstro, we are developers and pioneers of out-of-the-box communication systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and other space and airborne platforms. We are looking for a Senior Electronics Test Engineer I to join our team. This role is responsible for the design, analysis, and implementation of engineering test plans and procedures for board-level electronics products, including power, digital, and RF electronics. The ideal candidate possesses a strong combination of hardware and software knowledge with proficiencies in measurement techniques, test equipment, test architectures, automation, and integrated system testing.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing test architectures and systems
  • Designing and executing tests at various stages
  • Developing test requirements for new products
  • Designing tests for compliance with standards
  • Planning and executing board-level verification tests
  • Designing systems for testing complex integrated hardware and software
  • Advising on design-for-testability
  • Evaluating and documenting test results
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of in-house tools
  • Training technicians and operators

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar, with at least 4 years of industry experience. Strong programming skills, hands-on experience with lab instruments, and excellent communication skills are essential.

  • Experience designing and executing test plans for custom board-level electronics
  • Hands-on experience with lab instruments
  • Programming or scripting experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
