The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited college, 5+ years of relevant experience, and a Professional Engineering license (PE). Key responsibilities include developing design approaches, performing calculations, preparing system layouts, reviewing shop drawings, and applying local, state, and federal regulations. Responsibilities For Mechanical Project Engineer I
- Develop design approaches, concepts, and standards under supervision
- Perform calculations and design engineering systems
- Prepare intermediate to advanced system layouts, detailed drawings, schematics, and schedules
- Review shop drawings and equipment submittals
- Prepare and modify studies, plans, reports, specifications, and designs
- Apply local, state, and federal regulations
- Adapt engineering information, codes, and standards into project designs
- Visit project sites to verify conditions and observe construction progress
- Communicate design requirements with architects, contractors, and equipment manufacturer representatives
- Support engineers and project managers in project planning and coordination
- Review work for technical accuracy and completeness
- Maintain proficient understanding of industry standards and regulations
- Attend internal and external meetings
Requirements For Mechanical Project Engineer I
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited college
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Professional Engineering license (PE) required
- Fundamentals of Engineering Examination (FE) and certification as an EIT with a state licensure board required
- Advanced knowledge and proficiency in engineering design, AEC industry, codes, and standards
- Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD, BlueBeam, Revu, Revit, Microsoft Office Suite, and other industry software as required
