CESO, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer I to join their team. This role involves performing a wide variety of engineering design technical assignments for small to large projects, completing tasks on time, on budget, and within industry standards with little to no oversight. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited college, 5+ years of relevant experience, and a Professional Engineering license (PE). Key responsibilities include developing design approaches, performing calculations, preparing system layouts, reviewing shop drawings, and applying local, state, and federal regulations. Responsibilities For Mechanical Project Engineer I

  • Develop design approaches, concepts, and standards under supervision
  • Perform calculations and design engineering systems
  • Prepare intermediate to advanced system layouts, detailed drawings, schematics, and schedules
  • Review shop drawings and equipment submittals
  • Prepare and modify studies, plans, reports, specifications, and designs
  • Apply local, state, and federal regulations
  • Adapt engineering information, codes, and standards into project designs
  • Visit project sites to verify conditions and observe construction progress
  • Communicate design requirements with architects, contractors, and equipment manufacturer representatives
  • Support engineers and project managers in project planning and coordination
  • Review work for technical accuracy and completeness
  • Maintain proficient understanding of industry standards and regulations
  • Attend internal and external meetings

Requirements For Mechanical Project Engineer I

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited college
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Professional Engineering license (PE) required
  • Fundamentals of Engineering Examination (FE) and certification as an EIT with a state licensure board required
  • Advanced knowledge and proficiency in engineering design, AEC industry, codes, and standards
  • Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD, BlueBeam, Revu, Revit, Microsoft Office Suite, and other industry software as required
