Sr. Java Developer

CGS is seeking a Sr. Java Developer to join a team working on enhancing data utilization for a large, state-run project. The role involves aggregating data from various sources and planning for data collection, processing, storage, and reporting. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of large-scale enterprise systems and expert knowledge of Java coding and web applications, including Java Server Faces Framework.

Key responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with business analysts and developers on software designs
• Providing work estimates and status updates
• Transforming specifications into high-functioning code
• Integrating software solutions into higher-level systems
• Using web-based tools for application development
• Testing and debugging code
• Collaborating on testing and acceptance procedures
• Performing upgrades for improved security and efficiency
• Providing training and documentation for user support

Qualifications:

• 3+ years developing Java web applications using Java Server Faces Framework
• 5+ years in Java web application UI design and implementation (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• 3+ years integrating Java web applications with SQL databases using Hibernate
• 3+ years of SQL relational database design and coding experience
• 5+ years developing software independently and in teams
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects
