Sr. Network Engineer

CGS is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join a team focused on the evaluation, enhancement, and maintenance of a large scale network project that includes both wired and wireless network infrastructure and related hardware & software. The project's objectives are to evaluate the current setup of existing disparate networks and design & implement a network infrastructure that encompasses the wireless, wired, and software network requirements. This Network Engineer will interface with state and local governmental personnel, internal stakeholders, subject matter experts, and vendor(s) who will provide development services.

Key responsibilities include:

• Operating and managing NPS network infrastructure
• Improving infrastructure monitoring and reporting capabilities
• Developing and maintaining infrastructure documentation
• Reviewing best practices and providing recommendations
• Administering onboarding processes and monitoring wireless network health
• Assessing and optimizing network infrastructure
• Defining and conducting testing procedures
• Implementing technology solutions
• Providing design guidance and informal training

Qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, strong documentation skills, CWNA and BCNE certifications or equivalents, experience with RF site survey tools, and strong knowledge of network protocols and security.
