Sr. Systems Engineer

CGS is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer to join their team in supporting a wide-ranging technical support initiative for a large Federal agency. This mid-level position requires a minimum of 5 years of system engineering experience and offers a salary range of $139,776 - $201,898 per year.

The ideal candidate will have a BS degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, or a related IT field, and must be a US Citizen capable of obtaining a Public Trust Clearance. Key responsibilities include managing and maintaining complex systems, working on data services projects as part of an Agile/Scrum team, and applying established engineering principles to system specifications and documentation.

Technical skills required for this role include proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and shell scripting, as well as experience with relational databases like Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL. The position also demands expertise in ETL processes, cloud technologies (especially AWS), and virtualization tools such as VMware and Virtual Box.
