Sr. Systems Engineer

CGS is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer to join their team in supporting a wide-ranging technical support initiative for a large Federal agency. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining complex systems and applications, working closely with software engineers and architects to implement and document system changes, and supporting continuous process automation.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting, monitoring, and managing installed systems, applications, and infrastructure
• Configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems and application software
• Implementing and documenting complex system changes
• Evaluating existing systems and providing technical direction
• Designing security systems and data services projects
• Planning and implementing systems automation

The successful candidate will have:

• A BS degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, or a related IT field
• 5+ years of system engineering experience
• Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and shell scripting
• Experience with relational databases and ETL processes
• Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle and Agile methodologies
• Experience with AWS and virtualization technologies

Salary range: $139,776 - $201,898 per year
