Sr. Systems Engineer

CGS is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer to support a wide-ranging technical support initiative for a large Federal agency. The role involves supporting, monitoring, and managing installed systems, applications, and infrastructure. Key responsibilities include working with software engineers to establish and maintain operating systems, implementing system changes, evaluating existing systems, overseeing software and hardware requirements, implementing systems automation, designing security systems, and participating in Agile/Scrum teams for data services projects. The ideal candidate should have 5+ years of system engineering experience, proficiency in various programming languages and databases, and experience with cloud services, particularly AWS. Qualifications:

• US Citizen with ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
• BS degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, or related IT field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of system engineering experience
• Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and shell scripting
• Experience with relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
• Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle and Agile Development processes
• Experience with AWS and virtualization technologies
