Senior Software Engineer, Growth

Chime is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Growth team. In this role, you'll work on APIs that power member-facing products and iterate on the banking platform. You'll own projects end-to-end, influencing architecture, implementing APIs, and maintaining code health.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing, developing, testing, refactoring, and scaling backend implementations for new and existing consumer product features
• Collaborating with the mobile team to build strong, resilient APIs for the mobile app
• Working with cross-functional teams to understand member challenges and develop creative solutions
• Proactively improving system reliability and scalability
• Upholding and improving technical standards across the engineering team

The ideal candidate will have:

• 2+ years of software development experience in a production environment at scale
• Experience with Ruby on Rails or comparable frameworks
• Knowledge of transactional databases and caching systems
• Familiarity with architectural patterns for large, high-scale web applications
• A commitment to maintainable and well-tested code
• A passion for learning and diving deep into how things work
• Start-up experience (a plus)

Chime offers a competitive salary range of $176,490 to $245,100, along with bonuses, equity, and comprehensive benefits.
