Consulting Engineer, Enterprise Networking | R&S, Catalyst 6500/4500/3850/6800, experience BGP, OSPF, ISIS, IP/MPLS, QoS, Multicast, SDA, SDWAN | 5+ years

Cisco is seeking a Consulting Engineer for Enterprise Networking with expertise in R&S, Catalyst 6500/4500/3850/6800, and experience in BGP, OSPF, ISIS, IP/MPLS, QoS, Multicast, SDA, and SDWAN. This role is part of the Customer Experience (CX) team, which focuses on delivering premier customer experiences.

What You'll Do:

• Drive technology design, implementation, execution, and optimization for projects/accounts
• Assist customers with integration and implementation of Cisco technologies
• Support presale activities and translate business requirements into solution design
• Build customer simulations in test labs to resolve/validate issues
• Create and deliver customer collateral, documentation, and knowledge transfer
• Drive customer technology transitions and influence solution architectures

Key Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of task/project implementation for assigned engagements
• Implement new techniques and methodologies in customer delivery
• Build and review project work (e.g., Design recommendations, High-Level Design, Low-Level Design)
• Use test environments to resolve sophisticated problems & compatibility issues
• Configure and deploy Cisco products and solutions
• Act as a focal point for problem resolution for assigned customer engagements

Required Expertise:

• Technologies: SDA, SDWAN, Catalyst 6500/4500/3850/6800, BGP, OSPF, ISIS, IP/MPLS, QoS, Multicast
• Design solutions for low to medium complex requirements on R&S solutions
• Understanding of Network Design Principles and Enterprise Network Architectures
• Strong communication skills, including technical writing
• Ability to lead design conversations and workshops with customers
• Problem-solving skills for network issues
• Mentoring junior team members
• Understanding of APIs and scripting skills (Python, Ansible)
• Automation approach for delivery efficiency
• Knowledge of multi-vendor environments (R&S, Security, Firewalls, Wireless, DC/Nexus)
• Familiarity with AWS or Azure
