We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing Expert Support (Design, Configuration and Troubleshooting) to our customers, focusing on Cisco's Security Technology Portfolio. This role encompasses Cisco's products across Firewall Solutions (ASA & FTD), Cisco's NAC ISE (Identity Services Engine), and Cisco Stealthwatch.
The position is based on-site in Navi Mumbai, India, and will be focused on supporting one or more of the largest BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) customers for Cisco. The role requires flexibility in working hours to accommodate the needs of our customer base, with rotating shifts covering US, India, and EMEA time zones to ensure 24/7 support coverage.
Key responsibilities include:
- Customer Support: Respond to inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and provide remote and on-site assistance.
- Technical Expertise: Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of Cisco's Security Products Portfolio.
- Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution: Diagnose and resolve complex security and data routing issues.
- Maintenance Window Support: Plan, execute, and provide technical oversight during maintenance windows.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in network performance, reliability, and efficiency.
- Configuration Best Practices Audit: Perform regular audits and ensure adherence to best practices.
- Software Life Cycle Recommendations and Bug Scrubs: Undertake bug scrubs and scrutinize software releases.
- Automation Skills: Apply automation skills to streamline repetitive tasks.
- Tool Proficiency: Demonstrate proficiency in network topology tools and troubleshooting tools.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation.
- Customer Training: Conduct training sessions for customers.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and Cisco TAC.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, and CCNP certification. CCIE certification is preferred. The ideal candidate should have strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to work effectively under pressure.

- Provide Expert Support (Design, Configuration and Troubleshooting) to customers
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries and resolve issues related to target technologies
- Diagnose and resolve complex security and data routing issues
- Plan, execute, and provide technical oversight during maintenance windows
- Perform regular audits of network configurations against Cisco's Design and Configuration recommendations
- Undertake bug scrubs and scrutinize software releases for features and capabilities
- Develop and maintain scripts and automation playbooks to streamline network processes
- Create and maintain detailed documentation, including knowledge base articles and troubleshooting guides
- Conduct training sessions for customers on Cisco Data Centre Networking technologies
- Collaborate with internal teams, including Engineering, Sales, and Product Management
Requirements For Consulting Engineer - Security | (Troubleshooting , Configuration , Design ,Implementation , Firewall , ASA , ISE , Stealthwatch) | Mumbai | 5+ years exp
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication, Computer science, Information Technology, or related field
- CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) certification
- 5+ years of experience in network security
- Comprehensive understanding of Cisco's Security Products Portfolio
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem resolution for complex security and data routing issues
- Experience with Cisco Firewall Solutions (ASA & FTD), ISE (Identity Services Engine), and Stealthwatch
- Knowledge of network programming languages like Python and automation tools such as Ansible
- Familiarity with network topology tools (e.g., MS Visio) and troubleshooting tools (e.g., Wireshark)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in rotating shifts covering US, India, and EMEA time zones
