Engineering Technical Leader - Nexus Dashboard

Cisco is seeking a Senior Technical Leader with expertise in Kubernetes (K8s) and platform building, proficient in Golang, and possessing a strong understanding of security practices. The ideal candidate will lead technical teams, drive platform development, and ensure robust, scalable, and secure solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers in building and maintaining scalable platforms
• Design, implement, and manage Kubernetes clusters to support applications and services
• Collaborate with multi-functional teams to design and implement secure and efficient systems
• Develop high-quality code in Golang, ensuring performance and reliability
• Drive the adoption of standard methodologies in code quality, testing, and deployment
• Stay ahead with industry trends and integrate relevant technologies to enhance the platform

Minimum Qualifications:

• 8+ years of relevant development experience in Go
• Proven experience in leading technical teams and projects
• Strong expertise in Kubernetes (K8s) and platform development
• Good hands-on experience with Ubuntu
• Proficiency in Golang programming language
• Solid understanding of security principles and practices
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically
• Strong communication skills, able to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical collaborators
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools
• Experience in containerization and orchestration technologies
