Description For Hardware Engineer I (Intern)

Cisco is seeking a Hardware Engineer I (Intern) to join their team. This role offers an opportunity to impact product development from the lowest levels of circuit design to large system design, and see your contribution through to high volume manufacturing.

As a Hardware Engineer Intern at Cisco, you will:

  • Work on creative hardware engineering projects in areas such as ASIC Design and Verification, System/Board Design, Circuit Board Layout, Hardware Automation, Validation and Test, Signal Integrity, and Power Design.
  • Collaborate with peers on projects that have real-world impact.
  • Gain hands-on experience and exposure to customer networks.
  • Work with industry professionals and learn from them.
  • Have the opportunity to work on network infrastructures and deliver business and technology solutions in areas like data, security, mobility, and cloud.

Qualifications:

  • Recently completed or actively enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of hardware engineering principles and experience with hardware design tools and software.
  • Familiarity with hardware testing and debugging techniques.
  • Solid understanding of engineering fundamentals and technical problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across business groups.
