Description For SaaS Controller Senior Software Development Manager- Nexus HyperFabric

Cisco is seeking a Senior Software Development Manager to lead the development of next-generation SaaS-based controllers for Service Provider, Data Center, and AI/ML network infrastructure. This role is part of the SaaS Engineering organization within the Cisco Networking Group, focused on revolutionizing the deployment of generative AI applications.

As a senior software development manager, you will:

  • Drive backend feature development from requirement analysis to deployment
  • Define technical roadmaps and backend services in collaboration with product management
  • Lead a team of talented engineers to deliver high-quality features
  • Coordinate with stakeholders across Cisco to deliver integrated and secure solutions
  • Advocate for microservices architecture to enhance scalability and maintainability
  • Integrate various aspects of service delivery, including user experience, backend services, and DevOps
  • Own the success of service offerings with a focus on availability, security, and user experience

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM and 8+ years of software engineering experience
  • 3+ years of experience as a people manager in engineering development
  • Experience in cloud architecture, data center technology, and networking
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to mentor and guide engineers globally

Preferred qualifications include experience with SaaS products in public cloud infrastructure, collaboration with SRE and operation teams, and a track record of driving customer satisfaction and product improvements.

Cisco offers a competitive salary range of $170,500 - $245,300 USD, along with benefits such as medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with company matching, and various wellbeing offerings.
