Security Consulting Engineer (Intern) United States

Cisco Security Customer Experience (CX) organization supports customers through the entire lifecycle of a security solution: from understanding business needs to deploying custom solutions, from optimizing existing solutions to developing applications that meet specific needs; from helping customers to maintain their solutions to helping them investigate potential security incidents. As a Security Consulting Engineer Intern, you will be able to interact with customers and learn how Cisco plans, designs, deploys and optimizes Security Solutions while acquiring the technical and consultative skills required to properly delight Cisco customers.

You'll be part of a team that cares about its customers, enjoys having fun, and participates in changing the lives of those in our local communities. You'll work on groundbreaking ideas that impact everything imaginable - from entertainment, retail, healthcare, and education, to public and private sectors, smart cities, smart cars, and everyday devices in our homes.

During the internship, you will have the opportunity to:

• Interact with customers and learn about Cisco's security solutions
• Collect and analyze customer requirements
• Work on large-scale design efforts for network integrations
• Configure lab devices and analyze customer configurations
• Learn about security policies, standards, and procedures
• Develop automation capabilities using programming languages and open-source platforms
