The SaaS Engineering organization within the Cisco Networking Group is seeking a Software Engineering Technical Leader for their Nexus HyperFabric team. This role is focused on developing backend software for a production cloud service that simplifies the deployment of generative AI applications, providing IT visibility and analytics across the entire AI infrastructure stack.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and developing features from requirements analysis to execution
- Collaborating with product management to assess market needs
- Working with stakeholders across Cisco in AI, Data Center Networking, and Security
- Partnering with UX design, UI software, Back End, Site Operations, Automation, and DevOps teams
The ideal candidate will have:
- 8+ years of development experience in C/C++, Java, and/or Python
- Experience with microservices architecture and building SaaS offerings
- Knowledge of networking technologies (AWS, Linux, virtualization, HTTP/HTTPS)
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Experience with Golang (preferred)
- A degree in STEM (preferred)

- Design and develop features - from analyzing requirements and scoping to design execution
- Work with experienced product management leaders to assess market needs and feature requirements
- Work with stakeholders across Cisco in AI, Data Center Networking, and Security
- Collaborate with colleagues in User Experience design, User Interface software, Back End, Site Operations, Automation, and DevOps
Requirements For Software Engineering Technical Leader, SaaS- Backend, Nexus HyperFabric
- 8+ years of development experience in C/C++, Java, and/or Python
- Experience in data structures, algorithms, and software design and implementation
- Experience with microservices software architecture
- Experience in building and delivering SaaS offerings
- Experience with networking technologies such as AWS, Linux, virtualization, and HTTP/HTTPS
- Great communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to think creatively and self-motivated
