Description For Solutions Engineer - Commercial (Osaka)

As a Solutions Engineer at Cisco, you will be a trusted advisor and advocate for customers, becoming familiar with Cisco's broad market-leading portfolio and leading technical presales engagements. You'll be part of the Global Virtual Sales (GVS) team, providing high-level technical support and guidance to customers, partners, and Cisco Sales.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Pre-sales deal support across all Cisco technologies
  • Focus on Osaka and West Japan territories, working with Cisco Account Managers and Partners
  • Communication with Cisco product teams
  • Participation in team meetings and trainings
  • Occasional national and international travel

You'll lead technical relationships with customers, understand their business objectives, and assist in developing technical and business strategies. Your role spans the entire Customer Lifecycle Journey, involving activities such as creating technical documentation, delivering presentations/demonstrations, handling technical inquiries, and participating in RFP processes.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 2+ years of pre-sales engineering experience
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts
  • Broad IT knowledge across Cisco architectures (Networking, Collaboration, Data Centre/Cloud & Security)
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CCDP)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Fluency in Japanese and English
  • Experience working in a global organization
  • Passion for technology and continuous learning
