Sr. Data Plane Engineer - Technical Lead

The Cisco Distributed System Engineering (DSE) group is developing products for the largest networks worldwide, focusing on next-generation infrastructure for AI/ML workloads and increasing internet users and applications. As a Sr. Data Plane Engineer - Technical Lead, you'll join an agile team designing, developing, and testing data-center features in the Cisco 8000 Platform using SONiC network operating system. You'll work on Layer 2 (Vlan, Port Channel, MCLAG), Layer 3 (V4, V6), QoS (Queuing, Policers, WRED, PFC, ECN), and ACL (L2, L3, Ingress, Egress, ACL based forwarding) feature sets. The role requires expertise in embedded software development, data plane experience, and knowledge of data-plane forwarding technologies. You'll work in a fast-paced environment, responsible for end-to-end product development and production support, collaborating with multi-disciplinary, multicultural, and geographically dispersed teams.
