Cisco CX Centers team is seeking a Technical Consulting Engineer (SD-WAN) to join their growing organization of customer support engineers and consulting engineers. This role offers hybrid working based in Poland, preferably within reach of Krakow to be in the office once a week. No travel is required.
As a Technical Consulting Engineer, you will:
- Drive problem resolution for issues in customer environments
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents related to Cisco products, services, or solutions
- Provide answers for product, service, or solution questions
- Create or update and deliver problem resolution, project collateral, and knowledge transfer
- Assist in documenting and resolving technical problems in products and solutions
- Engage and drive appropriate resources for critical issues
- Maintain accurate documentation in incident and knowledge management systems
- Ensure case management guidelines are followed
- Effectively communicate with customers and Cisco stakeholders on service request status and progress
The ideal candidate is an accomplished engineer with extensive problem resolution experience who enjoys a fast-paced environment at the cutting edge of technology.
Minimum Requirements:
- 3-6 years of related experience in network infrastructure and network hardware (Modern Enterprise Networks)
- Knowledge of application, network, and transport infrastructure protocols
- LAN and WAN production environment experience
- Practical experience with Linux operating systems
- Experience with routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, EIGRP, BGP)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge and experience with routing products (ISR4k, ISR1k, ASR1k)
- Current valid industry-recognizable accreditation (CCNP, CCIE)
- Knowledge of Python and REST APIs
- IaaS providers general understanding, operational level experience preferred (AWS, Azure)
- Understanding of application container technologies and cloud architecture
- Understanding of IPsec, ZBFW, IPS, URL filtering technologies
- Foundational knowledge of Linux/UNIX command-line tools/environments
- Understanding of X.509 Certificates usage workflow
- Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products
