Cisco CX Centers team is seeking a Technical Consulting Engineer for their Wireless division. This role offers hybrid working based in Portugal, with no travel required but preferably within reach of the Lisbon office. As a Technical Consulting Engineer, you'll work with other stakeholders in Cisco, including fellow engineers, technical leaders, business units, and managers.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting other Technical Consulting Engineers and Global Delivery Partners in problem resolution
- Interacting with Engineering teams to solve complex problems
- Submitting effective escalations and recognizing bugs
- Providing escalation support and lab setup expertise
- Producing and sharing intellectual capital for internal audiences, partners, and customers
- Mentoring new hires and Global Delivery Partners
- Leveraging software skills to configure, deploy, and troubleshoot Cisco products
The ideal candidate will have:
- BS in a technical field (CS/EE preferred) or equivalent plus 3-6 years related experience
- Working knowledge of software programmability, automation, orchestration, and/or virtualization
- Aspiration to develop a solid understanding of modern enterprise networks and wireless technology
- Knowledge and experience with Cisco wireless products (preferred)
- Industry recognizable accreditation like CCNP or CCIE (preferred)
- Knowledge of programming languages, preferably Python
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize effectively
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
