Frontend Software Engineer, CSS

At City Storage Systems, we're building Infrastructure for Better Food. We help restaurateurs around the world succeed in online food delivery. Our goal is to make food more affordable, higher quality, and convenient for everyone. We're changing the game for restaurateurs, whether they're entrepreneurs opening their first restaurant all the way through to your favorite global quick-service restaurant chains.

As a Frontend Software Engineer at CSS, you will develop innovative new features and experiences on a platform with a large and growing user base. You will build vertically integrated data visualization components to power intuitive and interactive analytic dashboards. You will leverage open-source and proprietary technologies and use languages and tools including TypeScript, React, GraphQL, and more. You will build and operate web apps with world-class availability, performance, and scalability.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Collaborating with Product Managers, Designers, and Backend Engineers to conceptualize and build new features
• Participating in and providing feedback to the design process to build beautiful UI
• Producing high-quality code by leading or contributing to large cross-functional projects
• Actively owning features and defining their long-term health, keeping scalability at the forefront of technical designs
• Assisting in triaging and resolving production issues
• Working with engineers from various teams across verticals and reviewing code
• Building reusable components and libraries for integration across products and scale
• Working in a dynamic environment leveraging Data-Driven Development, Agile Methodologies, and Continuous Improvement

We're looking for candidates with:

• 3+ years of industry software engineering experience developing and shipping beautiful applications using JavaScript or TypeScript
• Experience working with React or an equivalent modern framework
• Familiarity with the full life cycle of shipping web applications
• Strong communication skills
• Strong frontend fundamentals
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• A love for good food
