Responsibilities For Field Engineer PE

  • Travel to project sites (50-75%) for fieldwork
  • Perform initial walkthrough with City Project Manager and GC Superintendent
  • Communicate with property owners and stakeholders
  • Prepare General Permit plans and standard TCP
  • Prepare cost estimation after scoping walkthrough
  • Schedule and attend preconstruction meetings
  • Present status updates at biweekly progress meetings
  • Coordinate with ATD and ATSD for signals and reviews
  • Capture daily photos and oversee daily reports
  • Obtain right-of-entry authorizations
  • Schedule RAS inspections and prepare punchlist
  • Review construction documents and address discrepancies
  • Verify work compliance with engineering specifications

Requirements For Field Engineer PE

  • Professional Engineer license in Texas
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Construction Management
  • 4+ years of experience in civil engineering, with focus on field engineering
  • Valid driver's license with favorable driving record
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in using technology for data collection and project management
  • Positive and professional attitude
  • Interest or experience in civil infrastructure projects
  • Willingness to work onsite in various weather conditions
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
