Responsibilities For Principal, Civil Field Engineer
- Anticipate travel to project sites (50-75%) to oversee fieldwork
- Perform initial walkthrough of project assignments with City Project Manager
- Communicate with stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met
- Manage and verify General Permit plans and standard TCP
- Prepare cost estimation after scoping walkthrough
- Attend and present status updates at biweekly progress meetings
- Manage coordination with ATD and ATSD for signals and infrastructure
- Verify daily photos and reports
- Ensure team obtains right-of-entry authorizations
- Verify RAS inspections and handle punch lists
- Review construction documents and address discrepancies
- Ensure accurate and timely firm invoices
Requirements For Principal, Civil Field Engineer
- Professional Engineer license in Texas
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Construction Management
- 10+ years of experience in civil engineering
- Expertise in managing teams, timelines, and client expectations
- Valid driver's license with favorable driving record
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in using technology for data collection
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Willingness to work onsite in various weather conditions
