Back-End Engineer

Clear Street is revolutionizing the brokerage ecosystem with a modern, cloud-native clearing and custody system. As a Back-End Engineer in our Swedish Engineering team, you'll play a crucial role in developing our technological backbone. You'll work on server-side elements, tackle complex problems, and help build a modern prime brokerage experience. Our tech stack includes Java, Go, Spring Boot, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, TypeScript, React, and Kafka.

Key responsibilities include:

• Solving challenging engineering problems handling millions of daily trades
• Building scalable, mission-critical applications
• Collaborating with other teams to address scalability
• Working with users to define and implement new features
• Developing a deep understanding of the business domain

We're looking for candidates with:

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in Java and our tech stack
• BS in Computer Science or related field
• Deep knowledge of CS fundamentals
• Self-motivation and problem-solving skills
• Experience in building trading systems or high-throughput applications
