Senior UI Engineer

ClickUp is seeking a Senior UI Engineer to set the overall vision for the UI of our application and enforce standards around UI & Design development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for solving complex issues for large-scale product development, working closely with the product team, graphical designers, backend engineers, and quality assurance team. This role requires expertise in UI architecture and design, and a strong understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Envision, develop, and enforce the global UI architecture and design systems for our frontend application
• Contribute clean code that follows strict design rules and modern patterns
• Provide technical know-how and expertise to other engineering teams and organizations
• Participate in UI & Design architecture councils, creating and reviewing proposals
• Evaluate complex business requirements from the executive team and translate them into actionable software items

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of working experience on large-scale JS/TS/CSS/SASS/HTML style products
• 4+ years of experience with large design systems and tokens using Figma
• Proficient with TypeScript, Angular/React, and vanilla JavaScript
• Proficient understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms
• Excellent presentation and storytelling skills
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability

Preferred:

• Expertise with various build and release management tools related to UI/UX development
• Expertise in managing accessibility for small, medium, and large customers
• Experience working in rapid-growth startups
