Description For Sr. Advanced Electrical Engineer (Power Supply/ Systems Experience)

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Advanced Electrical Engineer specializing in power supply and power systems, with significant experience in Department of Defense (DoD) projects. This role combines technical leadership with hands-on engineering work in defense and aerospace applications. The position offers a unique opportunity to work on complex power systems while leading and mentoring a team of engineers.

The role involves designing and developing advanced electrical systems, particularly focusing on power supply systems, AC/DC and DC/DC converters, and power distribution systems. You'll be responsible for ensuring compliance with stringent DoD standards while optimizing system performance and reliability. The position requires expertise in EMI/EMC design and testing, with particular attention to MIL-STD-461 compliance.

As a senior engineer, you'll play a crucial role in both technical leadership and program management. This includes overseeing system modeling, simulation, and validation, while also managing project schedules and budgets. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement with 2-3 days of remote work per week, providing flexibility while maintaining collaborative opportunities.

This is initially a 3-month contract-to-hire position, offering the opportunity to join a permanent team after proving your capabilities. The role combines the excitement of working on cutting-edge defense projects with the stability of a established engineering environment. You'll have the chance to mentor junior engineers while working alongside cross-functional teams to deliver integrated system solutions.

The position offers competitive hourly compensation and the opportunity to work on significant DoD projects that directly impact national defense capabilities. If you're passionate about power systems engineering and want to lead complex technical projects while growing your career in the defense sector, this role provides an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
