Global Physical Security Engineer

Cloudflare is seeking a Global Physical Security Engineer to take ownership of their physical security program across office and data center footprints. Reporting to the Director of Physical Security, this role involves leading the overall strategy and implementation of physical security measures, as well as partnering with other teams to unify physical and digital access into one cohesive security solution for Cloudflare's global network.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Managing the global physical security data center program
2. Developing and deploying innovative physical security technology and operations
3. Reviewing and monitoring alerts from physical security systems
4. Collaborating with various teams to develop policies, processes, and incident playbooks
5. Overseeing contracts and security addendums with vendors
6. Conducting audits and certifications of data centers
7. Implementing and automating physical security standards, policies, and processes
8. Supporting compliance requirements (FedRAMP, ISO 27001, SOC 2)
9. Traveling to Cloudflare data center locations for security audits (approximately 35% travel required)

The ideal candidate should have experience with Verkada Command, writing physical security policies, executive protection, and performing site walk-throughs. They should be able to make decisions on acceptable physical security risks, prioritize multiple projects, and communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including executive leadership.
