Senior/Principal Systems Engineer - Workers AI (AI/ML)

Cloudflare is seeking a Senior/Principal Systems Engineer for their Workers AI team within the Emerging Technologies & Incubation (ETI) department. This role is crucial in maintaining the Workers AI model catalog and AI/ML inference code. The ideal candidate will be a technical leader responsible for deploying AI inference on GPUs within Cloudflare's network and building innovative features for developers to incorporate AI into their products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set architecture and technical direction for large, cross-team engineering projects
• Maintain the Workers AI model catalog and AI/ML inference code
• Build products and APIs with a focus on excellent developer experience
• Work with tight deadlines and short release cycles

Required Skills:

• Expert-level knowledge in Python for AI development, particularly PyTorch or TensorFlow
• Strong communication skills
• Experience in leading large-scale technical projects
• Comfortable with fast-paced development environments
