Description For Solutions Engineer - Zero Trust - Public Sector CivFed/Fed
Cloudflare is seeking a Zero Trust Solutions Engineer for their Public Sector CivFed/Fed team. In this role, you'll work with clients to understand their business needs and current applications landscape, helping them develop a security posture using Cloudflare One product portfolio. You'll serve as a trusted advisor, guiding prospects through Solution Design and Proof of Concept stages, and work closely with Account Executives and other teams at Cloudflare.
Key responsibilities include:
- Helping customers find the best solution for their business needs with Cloudflare One
- Showing key capabilities of the Cloudflare One portfolio during sales engagements
- Developing architecture to support customers' business needs
- Articulating benefits of Cloudflare One vs competing solutions
The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum 3 years of Technical Sales or Systems Engineering experience
- Experience interacting with senior executives
- Familiarity with cyber security trends
- Understanding of customer network and application architectures
- Knowledge of SASE concepts, Zero Trust Networking, and various security technologies

Responsibilities For Solutions Engineer - Zero Trust - Public Sector CivFed/Fed
- Serve as a trusted advisor to customers, helping them find the best solution for their business needs with Cloudflare One
- Guide qualified prospects through Solution Design and Proof of Concept stages of sales engagements
- Work with Sales Partners to consistently achieve Pipeline and Revenue goals
- Understand customers' IT landscape and security requirements
- Develop architecture for customers to support their business needs
- Articulate the benefits of the Cloudflare One product portfolio vs competing solutions
- Promote retention by capturing and communicating gaps in product or features
Requirements For Solutions Engineer - Zero Trust - Public Sector CivFed/Fed
- Minimum 3 years of prior Technical Sales, Systems Engineering, or related experience
- Experience interacting with senior level/executives
- Familiar with trends in cyber security
- Fundamental understanding of customer network and application architectures
- Detailed understanding of workflow from user to application including hybrid architectures
- Knowledge of SASE concepts and Zero Trust Networking architectures
- Understanding of Secure Web Gateway, CASB, DLP, DNS, DNS over HTTPS
- Familiarity with IdP/authentication, SAML, OTP
- Knowledge of SaaS application integration and tenant controls
- Understanding of VPN and remote access challenges
- Familiarity with SIEM and log analytics platforms
- Client OS fundamentals and software distribution knowledge
- Ability to manage projects, work to deadlines, and prioritize competing goals
