System Engineer - NETDEV

Cloudflare is seeking a System Engineer - NETDEV to join their Network Engineering Team. This role involves building and running the infrastructure that powers Cloudflare's software. The ideal candidate will work on a range of tools, infrastructure, and services to improve network resilience and reduce engineering operational toil.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing software solutions to enhance network resilience
• Working on both new and existing tools, infrastructure, and services
• Delivering practical, maintainable, and scalable solutions

The role requires:

• BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of proven experience in hands-on server-side development
• Proficiency with modern Unix/Linux operating systems/distributions
• Knowledge of programming languages like Python or Golang
• Experience with MySQL, Postgres (or equivalent SQL language)
• Familiarity with CI/CD, containers, and/or virtualization
• Experience in systems Observability

Bonus skills include knowledge of networking engineering, experience with large distributed systems, and managing customer requirements.
