Systems Engineer

Cloudflare is seeking a Systems Engineer to join their Engineering Team, which handles product development and operations. The role involves working on large-scale C/C++ projects, deploying large-scale systems, and optimizing complex solutions for websites. The ideal candidate should have strong Linux systems knowledge, experience with continuous integration workflows, and a passion for debugging. The position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology, processing trillions of requests per month across a global network of data centers in 150+ cities worldwide.

Key responsibilities include:

• Working on large-scale C/C++ projects
• Deploying and maintaining large-scale systems
• Debugging and optimizing complex solutions
• Contributing to innovative products that handle massive request volumes

Required skills:

• Experience with large-scale C/C++ projects
• Proficiency in Go, Java, or other high-performance languages
• Strong Linux systems knowledge
• Expertise in systems-level programming
• Experience with continuous integration and source control (git)

Bonus skills:

• Experience with Lua, Rust, or Go
• JavaScript or TypeScript proficiency
• Familiarity with web server/reverse proxy systems (NGINX, Apache, Varnish)
