At Cloudflare, we are on a mission to help build a better Internet. We're seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join our CDN / Developer Platform team. In this role, you'll work with customers on complex technical support issues and collaborate with the Technical Operations team responsible for running our global distributed network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Solve HTTP, DNS, and other networking-related problems
- Provide support for Cloudflare's CDN and Developer Platform products (CDN, Stream, Workers, Pages, etc.)
- Interact with customers through various support channels
- Continuously expand your skill set and deepen your understanding of Cloudflare's technology
Required Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role
- Understanding of how the Internet works
- Experience with common web development languages (e.g., JavaScript)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in resolving support tickets
- Excellent communication skills and customer-first mindset
- Self-motivated with a desire to learn and grow
Bonus Qualifications:
- Fluency in German, Japanese, French, Spanish, Portuguese, or Mandarin
- Familiarity with Cloudflare's platform
- Experience with command-line tools (curl, dig, traceroute, tcpdump)
- Knowledge of web servers (Nginx, Apache, IIS)
- Understanding of DNS, CDN, Cache, SSL, and Cloudflare Workers
- Experience with database servers (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQL)
- Background in video encoding and streaming solutions
