Description For Sales Engineer

CloudQuery is an innovative Series-B startup that has established itself as a developer-first cloud governance platform, serving Fortune 100 companies. The platform excels in three core areas: Data Pipelines, Cloud Asset Inventory, and Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM). As a Sales Engineer, you'll be joining a growing GTM team where you'll play a crucial role in bridging the technical and business aspects of the solution.

The role demands a strong technical background with at least 6 years of experience in software engineering or sales engineering, combined with expertise in major cloud providers (AWS/GCP/Azure). You'll need to be proficient in SQL, PostgreSQL, and container orchestration tools, making you well-equipped to understand and address complex customer needs.

Your responsibilities will include working closely with Account Executives to support customers through trials and PoCs, identifying key insights from customer interactions, and collaborating with the engineering team to resolve technical challenges. The position offers significant growth potential as part of the early GTM team, with competitive compensation including equity options.

Responsibilities For Sales Engineer

  • Work with Account Executives to qualify and Support customers throughout trials/PoCs and launch
  • Raise insights and trends identified from customer interactions
  • Work with engineering team to resolve customer issues

Requirements For Sales Engineer

PostgreSQL
Kubernetes
  • 6+ years of experience in software engineering, solution engineering or sales engineering
  • Deep experience with using/operating one of the large cloud providers AWS/GCP/Azure
  • Hands-on experience with at least one programming language
  • Experienced with PostgreSQL and SQL
  • Experience working in enterprise environments and customers
  • Understanding of how setup and operate a container orchestration tool (K8s, ECS, etc)
  • Self-guided, Resourceful, Excellent communicator
  • Genuine interest in understanding customer issues and use cases
  • Fluent spoken and written English
