Description For Sales Engineer

The company specializes in making visual content searchable, filterable, and analyzable, addressing the growing challenge of managing the 80% of internet traffic that consists of image and video data.

As a Sales Engineer, you'll join the founding members of the Solutions team, working directly with founders, sales, and customer success teams. Your role is crucial in demonstrating the technical value of Coactive's products to potential customers through demos, workshops, and Proof-of-Value engagements. You'll be responsible for building repeatable processes that drive sales and adoption while supporting both strategic and technical needs of prospects.

The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background with a BS in Computer Science or equivalent, Python coding experience, and 5+ years in technical pre-sales or post-sales, preferably in enterprise B2B SaaS. Experience with AI/ML products is highly valued. You'll need excellent communication skills to work with both technical and executive audiences, and the ability to mentor other team members.

The position offers competitive compensation with an OTE of $186,250 - $232,500, plus comprehensive benefits including equity, full medical coverage, and unlimited PTO. Responsibilities For Sales Engineer

  • Be an expert and evangelist of the Coactive product
  • Be the resident technical sales expert and mentor for Go-To-Market teams
  • Lead and execute successful engagements for potential new customers
  • Create and deliver enterprise-grade technical materials to support sales
  • Provide feedback from the field and serve as an advocate for prospects
  • Maintain clear documentation and streamlined processes
  • Occasional travel to customer sites and industry conferences
  • Shape best practices and company culture

Requirements For Sales Engineer

Python
  • BS (or higher) in Computer Science or related fields, or equivalent professional experience
  • Entry level experience coding in Python
  • 5+ years working in technical pre-sales and/or post-sales, preferably enterprise B2B SaaS
  • Experience in scope and delivery of technical solutions
  • Experience in creating materials and tooling to support technical sales
  • Ability to effectively communicate with technical and executive audiences
  • Ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to provide technical sales mentorship
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced startup environment is a plus
  • Previous experience in technical sales of ML/AI products is a plus
