Description For Reserve Engineer (On-site)

Cobalt Robotics is seeking a Reserve Engineer (RE) to join their team in San Francisco, CA. This role is crucial for maintaining and servicing the company's robotic hardware, providing rapid-response field operations, and ensuring client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable about computer hardware, passionate about robotics and AI, and comfortable working with both technical and non-technical team members.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Learning and maintaining robot hardware
  • Resolving hardware failures promptly and safely
  • Assisting with field operation projects and new robot deployments
  • Communicating effectively with team members and clients
  • Being available for on-call duties, including potential after-hours and weekend work

The successful candidate will have:

  • Familiarity with hardware assembly/disassembly and computer components
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Availability during weekdays (9am-5pm) with flexibility for on-call schedules
  • A presentable demeanor for interacting with Fortune 100 & 500 clients
  • A passion for customer service

Bonus skills include experience with robotics, fast-paced startup environments, military/first responder background, or an associate degree or higher.
