Description For Civil Engineer- Land Development

Our client is experiencing significant growth and seeks a Licensed Professional Engineer with 3-7 years of experience in Private and Municipal work. The role is based in their Marple and/or Valley Township offices, where you'll make major design determinations under Senior Engineers' guidance. The position requires expertise in Chapter 102, NPDES, Chapter 105 permitting, Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems (MS4), and Subdivision and Land Development.

The role involves comprehensive civil engineering responsibilities, from land development planning to construction surveillance. You'll handle various aspects of site development, including utility design, stormwater management, and road alignment. The position requires strong technical abilities, particularly in AutoCAD, and excellent project management skills.

This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed PE looking to work on diverse projects in a growing organization. The role offers competitive compensation ($70,000-$90,000) and the chance to work on significant municipal and private sector projects. Responsibilities For Civil Engineer- Land Development

  • Preparation of Subdivision and Land Development Plans
  • Grading and Utility (water and sanitary sewer) design
  • Erosion and Sediment Pollution Control design and reporting
  • Stormwater Management design and reporting
  • Road alignment and profiling
  • Agency Permitting in support of various projects (Chapter 102, NPDES, Chapter 105, FEMA, etc.)
  • Quantity take-off and cost estimating
  • Assist with Municipal Engineering projects
  • Construction Surveillance

Requirements For Civil Engineer- Land Development

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering
  • PE license required
  • Proven working experience in civil engineering, including 3-7 years of land development design
  • Experience with site layout design including grading, drainage, erosion and sedimentation control, sanitary sewer, and stormwater management
  • Familiarity with Federal, State & County regulations pertaining to approval process
  • Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Proven experience working on multiple projects in a timely & cost-effective manner
  • Strong technical skills and a knowledge of design software such as AutoCAD
