Responsibilities For Project Engineer & Designer

  • Develop drawings for automatic sprinkler systems installation
  • Submit and get approval for drawings from OAC team and Building Codes office
  • Produce drawings using AutoCAD and HydraCAD in 2D and 3D
  • Coordinate between trades using BIM software
  • Perform hydraulic analysis using Hydratec or HASS software
  • Prepare fabrication lists and coordinate with third-party fabrication shops
  • Work with General Contractor to ensure compliant installation
  • Manage project schedules and budgets
  • Coordinate with shop manager and field crews
  • Conduct job site visits for installation verification and meetings
  • Build relationships with contractors, vendors, and codes officials

Requirements For Project Engineer & Designer

  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
  • Knowledge and experience working with computers
  • Experience in Fire Protection/Automatic Sprinkler industry (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Autodesk, Hydratec, and HASS calculation program (preferred)
  • Relationship building and customer service skills
  • Problem solving and leadership skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Quick learning ability
