Description For DevOps Engineer

Cognite, a global SaaS leader in industrial digitalization, is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join their infrastructure group. As part of the team, you'll be responsible for developing robust infrastructure for deploying Cognite's products across multiple clouds (Azure, Google Cloud, AWS, and OpenShift), developing the internal developer platform, and working with other engineering teams to improve and adapt their services to run smoothly on Kubernetes. You'll use and contribute to open source tools such as Kubernetes, Emissary, Terraform, Prometheus, Spinnaker, and Grafana. The role involves tackling challenging problems in areas like network security, CI/CD, monitoring, tracing, authentication, and secret management in a multi-cloud environment. Responsibilities For DevOps Engineer

  • Develop robust infrastructure for deploying Cognite's products on multiple clouds
  • Develop internal developer platform to reduce friction for developers
  • Work with other engineering teams to improve services on Kubernetes
  • Use and contribute to open source tools
  • Tackle challenges in network security, CI/CD, monitoring, authentication, and secret management
  • Help shape the culture of the infrastructure team and Cognite overall

Requirements For DevOps Engineer

  • Broad experience with DevOps practices such as CI/CD and Infrastructure as code
  • Experience building scalable solutions
  • Cloud experience preferred
  • Software development experience, preferably with Go or Python
  • Familiarity with the tech stack (Kubernetes, cloud technologies, GitHub, Jenkins, Spinnaker, Prometheus, Grafana, Lightstep)
  • Passion for automation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
