Description For SAP Data Integration Developer

Cognite, a global SaaS leader in industrial digitalization, is seeking a SAP Data Integration Developer to join their team in Bengaluru, India. As part of Cognite's expansion into India, this role offers an opportunity to be at the forefront of transforming asset-intensive industries.

The ideal candidate will support ETL engineers with SAP expertise, contribute to SAP integration of Cognite's data platform, and work closely with users to understand and implement their needs. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing SAP subject matter expertise to enable successful SAP integrations
  • Hands-on contribution to improve SAP integration with Cognite's data platform
  • Active involvement in product and technical decisions
  • Collaboration with skilled users to build necessary SAP source system support

Required qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience with SAP NetWeaver Gateway and SAP SOAP framework
  • Basic experience using SAP ABAP
  • Solid understanding of SAP: S/4 HANA
  • Experience with ETL workflows
  • 5+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer, ideally in SAP integrations
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency in Python or another backend programming language
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to take responsibility for results
  • Open-minded and collaborative approach to work

Additional advantageous experience:

  • SAP functional knowledge (e.g., SAP PM)
  • Knowledge of SAP BTP and SAP CloudConnect integration
  • Cloud development experience (Kubernetes, Docker, Azure, AWS, GCP)
  • Experience in process industry projects
