Cognite, a global SaaS leader in industrial digitalization, is seeking a Solution Engineer (Pre-Sales) Bilingual to join their team. As a Solution Engineer, you'll help customers solve high-priority data problems using Cognite Data Fusion and Industry Applications. This hybrid role, based out of Houston or Austin, involves leading clients through product evaluation, being a technical expert, supporting customers with documentation, engaging with the technical community, and contributing to sales strategies. You'll work closely with Business Development Directors, assist in RFPs, and provide insights to other corporate functions. The ideal candidate is bilingual in Spanish and English, has 5+ years of pre-sales or consulting experience in SaaS, understands the data analytics ecosystem, and has 2+ years of experience in asset-heavy industries. The role requires outstanding presentation skills, programming abilities, and a bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Responsibilities For Solution Engineer (Pre-Sales) Bilingual
- Lead clients through evaluating and adopting Cognite Data Fusion and Industry Applications
- Be the technical product expert for customers
- Support customers by authoring reference architectures and demo applications
- Engage with the technical community by leading workshops and seminars
- Contribute to account strategy and form deep client relationships
- Assist sales in responding to RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs
- Share best practices within the Cognite technical community
- Provide input to other corporate functions, particularly product management and marketing
- Travel around 50% of the time
Requirements For Solution Engineer (Pre-Sales) Bilingual
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
- 5+ years of relevant experience in a customer-facing pre-sales or consulting role for a SaaS company
- Deep understanding of the data analytics ecosystem
- 2+ years of Asset Heavy industry experience
- Outstanding presentation skills
- Experience with Value Selling or other solution selling methodologies
- Comfortable programming and debugging in Python, Scala, Java, or Javascript
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, or equivalent experience
