Senior Search Infrastructure Engineer

Cohere is on a mission to scale intelligence to serve humanity, focusing on training and deploying frontier models for AI systems. As a Senior Search Infrastructure Engineer, you'll be integral to the Search team, working on deploying and supporting the search platform. You'll manage service stability, releases, and system resiliency while optimizing cluster hardware and integrating with model serving backends.

The role involves working with cutting-edge search models and providing excellent experiences for both internal and external customers. You'll be part of a 24x7 on-call rotation (with compensation) and will work alongside world-class researchers, engineers, and designers who are passionate about their craft.

The position offers flexibility with offices in Toronto, San Francisco, New York, and London, embracing a remote-friendly environment. You'll contribute to automating observability, ensuring system reliability, and building strong relationships with internal developers. The ideal candidate brings experience with Opensearch/Elasticsearch, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure, though perfect alignment with all requirements isn't necessary.
