The Chemical Engineer role is a crucial position within their supply chain operations, focusing on molten salts, fueling, and tritium systems. This senior-level position requires a professional who can bridge the gap between suppliers and internal stakeholders, ensuring quality, efficiency, and consistent product delivery.

The ideal candidate will bring 6+ years of engineering or supply chain experience, with specific knowledge in chemical processing and manufacturing. They'll be responsible for developing supplier relationships, implementing quality improvement processes, and leading cross-functional teams. Responsibilities For Chemical Engineer

  • Act as technical liaison between suppliers and internal customers
  • Spend time physically on-site at vendors to resolve issues
  • Identify and assess new vendors, evaluate performance
  • Design and implement supplier quality improvement processes
  • Develop in-process inspection and test procedures
  • Analyze processes and troubleshoot defects
  • Establish preferred suppliers and manage performance
  • Facilitate PFMEA processes and APQP elements
  • Support ISO 9001:2015 implementation
  • Lead and mentor team members
  • Provide technical guidance during design and manufacturing phases

Requirements For Chemical Engineer

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • Six Sigma certification preferred (Yellow, Green, or Black)
  • 6+ years experience in Engineering or Supply Chain
  • Knowledge of specialized quality tools (PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan, MSA)
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in evolving environment
  • Specific knowledge regarding chemical processing and manufacturing
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
  • Willingness to travel or work required nights/weekends/on-call occasionally
