Responsibilities For R&D Test Engineer - Operations

  • Develop and execute test plans for magnet testing in cryogenic conditions
  • Design, analyze, and build test equipment
  • Monitor and operate tests of magnets in cryogenic, vacuum and high-current conditions
  • Maintain documentation, schedule and budgets for test campaigns
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration and test discrepancies
  • Lead anomaly investigations and present results
  • Identify and mitigate safety hazards
  • Execute plans for future expansion and scalability

Requirements For R&D Test Engineer - Operations

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or science field
  • 5+ years experience designing/building/commissioning specialized test equipment
  • Experience with CAD software and mechanical design
  • Familiarity with electromagnetic fundamentals
  • Excellent troubleshooting/problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
  • Willingness to work required nights/weekends/on-call occasionally
  • Willingness to travel
