Description For RF Engineer

Commonwealth Fusion Systems (CFS) is at the forefront of commercial fusion energy development. Collaborating with MIT, CFS leverages decades of research and groundbreaking high-temperature superconducting (HTS) magnet technology to create compact fusion power plants. These plants can be constructed faster and at lower costs, aiming to meet global decarbonization goals rapidly.

The RF Engineer role at CFS is crucial for the SPARC project, which sustains fusion reactions by feeding >25MW of 120MHz RF power into the tokamak to heat plasma to 100 million Kelvin. As an RF Engineer, you'll be responsible for building the most powerful RF plant in the world. Your duties will include integrating, testing, and troubleshooting all elements of the SPARC RF system.

Key responsibilities:

  • Integrate, test, and commission RF system components
  • Troubleshoot RF system hardware
  • Develop manufacturing processes for RF components
  • Design and integrate RF signal detection and measurement circuits

This role offers an opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology in the field of fusion energy, contributing to a solution for global climate change. You'll be part of a team of leaders in tough tech, fusion science, and manufacturing, supported by world-class investors.

CFS values integrity, execution, impact, and self-critique. They seek team members who thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and have demonstrated exceptional results through various pursuits. The company is committed to diversity and equal opportunity employment.

Join CFS to be at the forefront of clean energy technology and make a significant impact on the world's energy future.
