Responsibilities For Senior Mechanical Engineer

  • Work within a multi-disciplinary team of scientists and engineers
  • Own the design and implementation of key mechanical modules and sub-systems
  • Drive innovative design concepts to meet system requirements
  • Present and participate in design reviews
  • Generate and maintain interfaces with other engineering subsystems
  • Report project progress to Head of Superconductor Engineering
  • Drive project deliverables with speed

Requirements For Senior Mechanical Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred
  • 10+ years of experience as senior mechanical design engineer
  • Experience with vacuum systems design and analysis
  • Experience with thin film/PVD
  • Expertise with 3D modeling and simulation
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
  • Willingness to travel and work required nights/weekends/on-call
