Senior Safety Engineer

Commonwealth Fusion Systems (CFS) is seeking a Senior Safety Engineer to join their Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security (EHSS) team. This role will be the fusion power plant (SPARC) safety expert, ensuring safe construction, assembly, commissioning, and operation of novel systems. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Safety or a related technical field with 8+ years of experience, or 10+ years of experience in a high-risk industry. Key responsibilities include conducting project walks, reviewing high-hazard work, leading incident investigations, and educating stakeholders on various safety concepts. The role requires expertise in power plant activities, strong facilitation skills, and the ability to work in an industrial environment. CFS is developing unique systems like a Cryogenic System and Radio Frequency Heating System for their fusion reactor.
