Commonwealth Fusion Systems (CFS) is at the forefront of commercial fusion energy development. Collaborating with MIT, CFS leverages decades of research and groundbreaking high-temperature superconducting (HTS) magnet technology to create compact, cost-effective fusion power plants. Their mission is to rapidly deploy these plants to meet global decarbonization goals.
The ARC project aims to be the first machine to produce electricity from fusion energy, marking the beginning of a new industry. Building on SPARC's HTS magnets and tokamak systems, ARC introduces new elements like the Blanket System, which uses FLiBe to breed tritium and capture heat.
As a Senior Salt Operations Engineer, you'll lead operations of salt test loops, develop safety-focused workflows, and ensure operability throughout the design and engineering process. You'll train operators, act as a technical expert on salt handling, and work closely with various CFS teams.
