The role combines traditional service desk responsibilities with opportunities for growth into systems administration and engineering projects. As a Service Desk Engineer, you'll be the first point of contact for IT issues while collaborating with the infrastructure team on foundational projects. This position is perfect for someone who excels in problem-solving and has a passion for automation.

Your responsibilities will span from providing top-tier technical support to implementing enterprise-wide solutions. You'll manage end-user devices, work on cybersecurity initiatives, and contribute to the company's technical infrastructure. Responsibilities For Service Desk Engineer

  • Deliver top-notch support to technical end users
  • Manage end user devices throughout their lifecycle
  • Assist in engineering projects and various IT tasks
  • Implement and support enterprise solutions
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity team to remediate vulnerabilities
  • Automate repetitive tasks
  • Support technical onboarding for new employees
  • Provide rotational off-hours support
  • Execute short to mid term assignments
  • Assist in instructing junior team members

Requirements For Service Desk Engineer

Linux
  • Previous experience in customer-facing desktop support
  • Experience with enterprise systems (G Suite, Freshservice, Okta, Zoom)
  • Experience with Okta and FreshService workflows
  • Knowledge of Active Directory / Azure AD environment
  • Experience supporting Windows, Mac, and Linux
  • Experience with JAMF, MECM/SCCM or Intune
  • Experience supporting remote users
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Willingness to work nights/weekends/on-call occasionally
