Conductor GmbH, a leading Website Optimization & Intelligence platform, is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join their Platform Engineering team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in both AWS and physical datacenter environments, handling large-scale data operations and infrastructure management.
The Platform Engineering team is remote-first and focuses on powering CI/CD platforms, Developer platforms (IDP), kubernetes-backed microservices, and data lakes. You'll be at the forefront of solving complex MarTech challenges, particularly in scaling large data sets for global accessibility and fast retrieval.
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you'll be responsible for managing physical and virtual infrastructure, implementing scalable solutions, and optimizing systems handling multiple terabytes of data daily. You'll work extensively with technologies like ElasticSearch, Kubernetes, and various AWS services, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive infrastructure improvements and best practices.

Responsibilities For Senior DevOps Engineer
- Manage and maintain physical and virtual servers, storage systems and networking in data center environments
- Configure, deploy, monitor applications and services on Linux/Unix based systems in Datacenters and Cloud environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable infrastructure solutions
- Optimize and scale Infrastructure for large distributed databases
- Champion infrastructure best practices and modernization
- Ensure patching, maintenance, backups, high availability and disaster recovery at scale
- Educate peers on best practices for developing large data sets in ElasticSearch
- Build and Implement observability for distributed systems
- Utilize AWS Services to design, deploy and manage cloud-based solutions
- Optimize AWS resources and Physical Infrastructure
- Partner with Information Security team on infrastructure security
Requirements For Senior DevOps Engineer
- Completed studies in Computer Science, related field or equivalent professional experience
- 5+ years professional experience in DevOps, SRE or SysAdmin
- 5+ years experience with supporting, scaling and optimizing ElasticSearch
- Experience supporting Kubernetes, ArgoCD, CircleCI, GitHub, Grafana, Cloudflare
- Experience with Infrastructure as code and configuration management tools
- Professional verbal and written communication skills in English
