Description For NOC Engineer (AU IT Services, WFH)

This role offers a unique opportunity to work remotely while managing critical infrastructure and providing essential support services. The position involves working in shifting schedules (10:00am to 10:00pm or 10:00pm to 10:00am AEST).

The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in Infrastructure or Operations support, preferably in a Managed Services Environment. You'll be responsible for monitoring and managing infrastructure, handling incidents, and ensuring service level agreements are met. The role requires expertise in Windows Server environments, networking, and various monitoring tools.

Responsibilities For NOC Engineer (AU IT Services, WFH)

  • Identify and action incoming major incidents from monitoring tools
  • Provide 1st and 2nd level technical support
  • Manage major/critical incidents and communicate updates to stakeholders
  • Perform Event management for infrastructure environments
  • Perform initial triage on networking outages
  • Manage client backups
  • Perform off-hours upgrades and patching
  • Ensure meeting service level agreements
  • Provide excellent customer service and communication
  • Work effectively in 24-hour roster team transitions

Requirements For NOC Engineer (AU IT Services, WFH)

Linux
  • 2-3 years experience in Infrastructure or Operations support
  • Previous experience in NOC/Datacentre/Network technician role
  • Experience with RMM Tools (Solarwinds N-Central, Orion, Kaseya, Connectwise)
  • Experience administering Windows Server environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Appropriate Tertiary qualifications and/or IT Industry Certifications
