ConnectOS, a certified Great Place to Work in the Philippines, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer for their Australian furniture retail client. This role offers an attractive monthly package of P120,000 to P160,000 and operates on a Monday to Friday schedule (06:00 AM to 03:00 PM Manila Time).
The position requires an experienced professional with 5+ years in data engineering to join their team supporting one of Australia's leading furniture manufacturers and retailers. The client operates over 85 stores across Australia and is known for making affordable, well-designed furniture accessible to everyone.
As a Senior Data Engineer, you'll be responsible for building and maintaining data infrastructure, ensuring data quality, and implementing secure data solutions. The role involves working with cutting-edge technologies including PowerBI, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Snowflake. You'll design data pipelines, optimize storage solutions, and develop analytics tools to support data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities For Sr. Data Engineer (AU Furniture, Office-based)
- Design and maintain efficient, scalable data pipeline architectures and infrastructure for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL)
- Implement and optimise data storage solutions, including data warehouses and data lakes, ensuring data quality and integrity
- Ensure data security and compliance, implementing access controls and monitoring data infrastructure
- Develop and maintain analytics tools, data models and reports to provide actionable insights
- Mentor junior but no management and reporting required
- Automate and improve data processes and workflows, integrating data from multiple sources
Requirements For Sr. Data Engineer (AU Furniture, Office-based)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering, data development & architecture
- Experience working with large-scale datasets and distributed systems
- Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases
- Background with Microsoft Technologies like PowerBI, Azure Data Factory and Data Warehouse, Fabric, Databricks, Snowflake, etc.
- Experience with data integration, ETL processes, and data cleansing
